Bible verses about hope
Three Berean Standard Bible Version verses to read, save or send to someone who needs them.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 BSB
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 BSB
“But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 BSB
Lumi's take
Jeremiah 29:11 was first written to people in exile, a long way from home, who were told to settle in for seventy years. Hope in Scripture isn't wishful thinking. It's confidence that God is still writing the story when you're stuck in a hard chapter.
Pray it
God of hope, fill me with joy and peace today, and help me trust that You're not finished with my story. Amen.
