Bible verses about fear
Three Berean Standard Bible Version verses to read, save or send to someone who needs them.
“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 BSB
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.” Psalm 56:3 BSB
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7 BSB
Lumi's take
Notice that David doesn't say "if" I am afraid. He says "when." Fear isn't a sign that your faith failed. It's the moment faith gets to do something. Courage isn't the absence of fear. It's trusting God while your hands are still shaking.
Pray it
Lord, when fear shows up, I choose to trust You. Hold me up and help me take the next step. Amen.
