Bible verses about courage
Three Berean Standard Bible Version verses to read, save or send to someone who needs them.
“Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 BSB
“Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 BSB
“Be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith. Be men of courage. Be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13 BSB
Lumi's take
Joshua had to follow Moses, which is the hardest act in history to follow. God's pep talk wasn't "you've got this." It was "I've got you." Your courage doesn't have to come from you. It comes from who's walking with you.
Pray it
God, go before me today. Make me strong and brave, because You're with me wherever I go. Amen.
